Get To Know...
Sarah Quist is a London born singer/ songwriter and actress coach. As an actress Sarah trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA) and has worked at The National Theatre, RSC, The National Theatre of Scotland, Shakespeare Globe and Disney productions and many other companies.
Sarah lived in Spain for many years whilst there she helped develop and run programs for all ages but mainly school aged children who were learning English as a second or third language. The courses were based on an actors training which made the classes fun, creative and instructive. She also wrote and directed Theatre In Education plays that toured Spain and Russia. Sarah has worked with people with learning disabilities who were learning English. This work meant calling on her acting training to be inventive and creative. In the UK Sarah worked for Creative tracks which was a theatre company that worked with adults with learning disabilities. Before moving to Spain Sarah ran a successful drama club in Camden for children. She is currently working as a facilitator for The National Theatre and Phakama on their community projects and is a coach for TED TALK Speakers.
Ann-marie Idiagbonya – Co-founder - Dramatherapist
Ann-marie was a professional actress who studied Drama at The Mountview Academy of Dramatic Arts, she worked in The West End, National Theatre and Broadway. She then completed a post-graduate diploma in Drama and Movement Therapy at the Central School of Speech and Drama. Teaching and Directing came about through facilitating drama classes at Muswell Hill’s youth center for Haringay Council, where she devised and created original productions and a short film. Ann-marie also worked for Hillingdon Youth Theatre, Bright Sparks Theatre School and Bigfoot Theatre Company working dramatically through the curriculum within the key stages. She is a registered member of British Association of Dramatherapists (BADth) & the Health Care Professions Council. (HCPC)
Through her current studies in Counseling Skills for Children in a School setting and a placement in a West London primary school, Ann-marie has come across many of the issues that our children and young people are facing first hand and devised this program to specifically meet their needs. Ann-marie has always had a love of teaching children, since first engaging dramatically with some street children in Brazil. Her love of teaching has increased since having her own child and having grown up in the industry. She recognizes the importance of letting children be children and have fun whilst learning.
